Time For a Change

There has been change brewing in our house for a little while now. Daniel resigned from his job with the Saskatchewan Golf Association back in September. He has been there for over 8 years and although it was a great job in many ways, it was no so great in other ways. He put in a lot of extra hours and was away a fair bit. When it was just him and I it wasn't a big deal, but since our family has expanded exponentially it was starting to take it's toll on all of us. So, it was time for a change and October 15th was his last day at work. We've had the opportunity and time to do things in the past 2 weeks that we haven't done a lot of before - simple things like taking the kids swimming and other day to day things that we now have more time to all do together. He has been taking some much needed down time to do some things around the house and take care of jobs that haven't been done since we moved into our house 6 months ago. We still have our nanny coming in her usual days and times to keep things consistent for the kids, to keep her working and to allow Daniel some time to get things done. As far as what the future holds - there are a few options that he could pursue but hasn't committed to anything yet.

Last weekend Daniel's parents came for a few days and him and his dad worked on the fence. The kids had a lot of fun outside playing with grandma and watching daddy and grandpa work.

The little boys were dead set on helping the big boys and finally settled into scooping dirt into the wheelbarrow over and over.

Here are a few other pictures from before the snow fell. Casey was determined to move the fence and got quite angry when he couldn't. Then he moved onto the water meter.

Mitchell was having a blast with the hose.

Maggie LOVES these little cars. When we're outside the boys will be play with a bunch of different things but she just rotates between driving and pushing the 3 cars all over the yard.

Well I better go and add a few more things to Daniel's to-do list!

Love the pics, as always! Is Maggie's coat from Gap? Abby has one just like it!

Her black one is from the Gap, the pink one is from Please Mum
