Happy Easter

The easter bunny found our babes out at the lake at my parents on Easter Sunday. Their big cousins found their baskets for them....and mom and dad are still working on their candy. We didn't make it out to Muenster that weekend. Daniel's Grandpa's memorial service was in Saskatoon on the Saturday so we got to see his extended family. I hadn't met everyone that was there and most of them had only seen pictures of the babes so it was nice to see everyone.
Here are a few pictures from their first Easter.

Maggie and her cousin Ava in their matching dresses

Uncle Jody, Mitchell and Ava (Casey and Auntie Missy too)

I think everyone is in this picture except my nephew Brett, who was building a domino castle in the living room. My dad is hiding by the sink pretending to do dishes.

For quite a few years now there has been an annual hockey draft that takes place in our family for the regular season and then playoffs. Casey was helping Grandpa make his picks.

We took a few more pictures when we got back home. They looked so cute in their bunny ears, I just couldn't resist.

Late For Dinner

First, let me say that we are extremely lucky to have such great babies. For the most part, unless someone is tired, hungry or out of sorts from too much going on, they are happy. I thought I would share a video clip of what things are like when they are really hungry and I am late with their dinner. If you want to protect your ears, turn down your speaker volume. If you want to get an idea of what it is like to be right beside them, turn it up. And they can do much better than this....it is not full on crying for them. I promise, I did feed them as soon as I was done videotaping. It goes from chaos to instant quiet when the bottles hit their mouths.

A Day at the Zoo

We had our first visit to the zoo the other day. I went with Tara and Desta, friends that have twin girls. The babies slept off and on the whole time we walked around so they really didn't get anything out of it, but us moms sure enjoyed being outside.
We found someone to get a picture of the 10 of us.

Asleep on the Job

Mitchell loves to bounce and jump! The jumperoo is perfect for him because he can jump with toys all arond him. While I was putting the other two babes down for a nap one day he decided he just couldn't wait for me any longer.

Got Milk?

I am sure some of you have seen the "Got Milk?" ads. Here is Casey's version. He got a little sleepy during the photo shoot and needed a power nap.

He gave his daddy the "hang loose" sign as we were on our way to his crib.

Casey is also a look alike on the Boston Pizza commercials where there is a little blonde boy wearing big dark glasses with his family. The latest one shows him touring around Little Italy. We laugh everytime we see it because it reminds us so much of him. We would love to find an old pair of glasses for him.

Gene Simmons Impression

Here are a few pictures of our little girl doing her best Gene Simmons impression.

Now and Then

We cannot believe how fast time has gone. We look back at pictures from the beginning and it seems like such a long time ago. The babes are growing and changing so quickly. It's great to see them growing so well and discovering new things, but it's also sad to see them growing up so quickly. I guess we just have to enjoy each day and stage as we're in it.

Here are some pictures from the first few months compared to now:

The first "room" that they shared

Their bedroom now

Family Picture just over 1 month old

6 months old

Everyone in Maggie's bed just over 1 month old

Party in Maggie's bed at 6 months old

Everyone in our bed with Daddy 6 months old

There wasn't too much play time in the beginning. It was pretty much just eating and sleeping with some awake time. Now they love to play. Everyone loves:

The jumperoo

The play mat

Casey did start on the mat with everyone, but ended up under the swing

Their bumbo chairs - we have play time in them where they love to steal each other's toys. A toy will start in one of their hands and then the one next to them will grab it, play for a while and then the next one grabs it from them. It's quite funny to watch.

They also have story time in their chairs. They like to look at books and then I read to them.

Tummy time - well I wouldn't say they love it but they like it more than they used to. Now they lift their heads up and push themselves up, grab toys and roll over onto each other where as they usd to just lay there and cry. No one is crawling yet, but Maggie can scoot herself backwards a little bit and the boys can get themselves halfway turned around.

Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3

We got these great shirts for the babies from my friend Amanda. They are so cute! We had some fun with them in these shirts. You may notice in some pictures that Thing 1's belly is a little bigger than Thing 2 or 3's.

It's funny, because in most of the pictures where we have the three of them together Mitchell seems to always be munching on Casey arm or hand. We really do feed Mitchell...I promise! In this picture it looks like Mitchell is examining Casey's hang nail.
